The second in a row of commissioned pieces, based on a story, the other being the Samurai Templar.

Once again I was given a great amount of artistic freedom with it, so this character's appearance has changed quite a bit since the original concept and brief by the client.

The Walker is an assassin, a heretic, worshipped and feared, leader of an army, and a loner who roams the lands (hence the name). No one seems to be quite sure if he is human, or not, or if in fact he actually exists.

The obelisks are important to the story, as is their unreflective stony and transparent look.

On a side note: The rifle's inscription is in Enochian, and it reads "Bagle iabes . de bransg cordziz . a etharzi", which translates as "For God . To guard Man(kind) . In Peace".

This is fabulously beautiful; the detail on his face especially is breathtaking. I wish (aside from the desire for more close-up shots) that the scarf around his neck was a little crisper. Excellent job, and thank you for sharing!
:jawdrop: Stunning work!

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done...”
George Carlin
You did an amazing job of making him look charming but formidable. I don't know whether to invite him in or lock the door.

I'll have some of this... and none of that.
ah, the obelisks were the part i was gonna comment on... it kinda looks like the clouds were overlayed on top, the way the light bounces off them... if you get what i mean.

if i may ask you, do you use textured brushes on your figures or apply noise/unsharpen mask/any other filters. what i've always loved is your PS work looks so natural :D

"burning time and blaming memory"
This is very pretty! It reminds me of dawn in Arizona...

It's easy for angels to fall, when they've been placed so high...
Beautifully constructed as always. I like the character's poise and outfit very much.

Beautiful work. Stunned, as always, by the detail and realism of your work.
